The most amazing thing about KSP....

Aside from an incredible base game, the most amazing thing to me is the fact that the Devs have provided a rich and robust Mod API that allows the community to add things like, Kerbal Alarm Clock, Sub Assembly Manager, Damned / Infernal Robotics, Crew Manifest, KerbTown, MechJeb, Telemachus, Lazor System, TAC Fuel and Life Support, Remote Tech, PAPI, Kerbcom Avionics, Chatterer, Kerbal Attachment System and many others along with the thousands of addon parts.

Its fairly standard in sandbox games (at least the ones I have played). But still KSP does take the cake in this department as what you can/cant do seems to be less limited than it is in others.

Without mods, I would play any game less. More so with this one, since many planned features are not yet implemented.

This is something that should always be recognized, as sadly too few games these days allow mods, much less actually encourage them. One thing that blows my mind is the sheer scale of the world you are given to explore. When you consider the total landmass added together of all the worlds, excluding Jool and Kerbol(the sun), it beats the largest game world out there hands-down, which many might say would be Daggerfall, but I don't consider that since apparently it is randomly generated. The only game world that beats KSP in size is of course EVE, but you can't land on planets short of switching over to Dust514.

With the ability to build your own little communities on the worlds, one can hardly argue there is nothing to see. Already with .21 there is a massive terrain change to the Mun, promising the chance of many interesting discoveries.

All of this can also be enhanced with mods, especially when you consider that player-made worlds can also be added through that device.

It's a big amazing world out there. Let's go explore it!

I wouldn't play an un-modded version of KSP for more than an hour.

This is why I love the Devs.
