got my firts craft into orbit well part of it

i put on the large solar array but on deploying it it caught another one and ripped it clean off from the top section

so i have a pod and two small solar panels to keep power

guess ill have to send out a rescue craft to collect him as the fuel tank and rocket were removed in the incident

was a good experience getting him into orbit though and using a self built rocket not a plan one

Ya buddy!

They get easier and better every time. I remember how hard it seemed the first time. My biggest challenge was balancing fuel, thrust, and proper staging. Now I could do it all using my toes while sleeping :sticktongue: . You will get there too, keep it up. Next step: Mun landing, which took me 3x as much time (at least) and effort as Kerbin orbit. ENJOY!!!!!

One little-encourage goal to make after achieving orbit, is to go for a free-return trajectory of the Mun. Achieving that gives you the know-how tools to really open up your world. (Without using maneuver nodes, one simply waits until Mun-rise in Kerbin orbit, then accelerate in the direction of your motion. Follow the progress on the map until you reach Munar orbit. It should be possible to achieve a FRT without corrections, but don't let that stop you from making changes as you go.
