rpayne88
Lets just say I'm sick of having KSP use less than half of my system's resources and lagging on moderately complex ships. I mean, either make a 64-bit version or write a program into KSP that will circumvent the memory limitations and use all available RAM, CPU, GPU, ect. TG_bigboss
I don't think Unity's engine supports 64bit. I do know that it doesn't support Multi-threading so we might never see a true 64bit version. Only time will tell. Don't forget that Ksp is still in its early Alpha stages so nothing is really fully optimized.
sumghai
In addition to TG_bigboss's response, I should note that suggestions/requests/demands/orders for KSP to be optimized to 64-bit OSes have been listed on the Official Already Suggested and What not to suggest lists. OrbitusII
TG_bigboss: Unity does support 64 bit builds, but they are unstable except on Linux.rpayne88: This has been suggested multiple times in the past, as has multithreading.
stupid_chris
If we could have 64bit versions of the game, we would already have them. For now, all the attempts by the devs lead to builds that didn't worked and that were too unstable to play on, except for the Linux version of the game where they managed to make a 64bit version. The problem is partly due to Unity, and as soon as the devs find a way to create stable 64bit builds for Windows and Mac, we'll have them in the blink of an eye.Now as said above, this is on the do not suggest list and the already suggested list, this means I'll be closing this thread now.
