there's actually much faster ray renderers, but I do like the simplicity of AO renders.

For example, I could render that scene with 6 bounces, HDRI, fully textured in under a minute on the *CPU* with a quad core.

Anyway, i have a little project/contest idea for you guys, to try and bring activity to this thread.

Other than the trucks you see at the space center, what kinds of cars would kerbals drive?

Bonus points of you make a model, and show it.

Well, I've tried reviving this thread some something silly,

I've tried with WIP shots.

Only leaves me with 1 option.

Sad.

I got the Kraken on Bop re-textured and thrown into Unity.

Looks alot like suicide to me. That's not what I call a reasonable response to this thread's development, but who am I to judge.

Would you mind to either tell me how you got fire working in cycles or send me a link to a tutorial?

Well. that or remorse of what he had done...

I'll leave that part up to you to decide.

(it had to be super serious looking to grab people's attention)

Oh, here's a quick explosion effect test i did.

PS: sorry for potato quality, but cycles takes FOREVER to render compared to BI.

Thanks, for the quick response.

Cycles really can take ages. I once edited a

of some of my friends and just the first 10 seconds took about half an hour to render. Luckilly the rest was just cutting real footage. Your video is pretty neat, though.

The tutorial seems to be very helpful and I'd like to try that out sometime tomorrow.
