Hotkey for solar panels akin to the ones for lights and landing gear.

If you want to toggle all landing gear without having to rightclick each gear individually, you can do it by pressing "G".

If you want to toggle all lights on/off without having to rightclick each light individually, you can do it by pressing "U".

Can a similar hotkey exist for toggling all solar panels? I often manually make an action group for it, but it seems like an obvious thing to make stock in the main game, for the same exact reasons that gear and lights have hotkeys - because trying to rightclick the part to get it working sometimes needs to be done fast without fiddling around.

Just map it to one of the custom hotkeys. I usually use 1 for that.

Action groups are the way to go here, that way you can not only assign a hotkey to your solar panels, but you can also deploy panels in groups based on different vehicle configurations.

Typically my solar panels are deployed via action group 9, after using action group 0 to disable all engines so as not to break them.

I do agree that it's not exactly priority number 1, but I get where OP is coming from. I'd like to see this, just because it does seem to fit with the other common functions..

I think I've made this suggestion once before, quite a while ago though. In addition to a hot key I'd like to see a HUD button, as the other functions have one as well.

Yeah I agree with the Op, this can be done with action groups, but then so can lights and gear, both of which have default buttons. This would be a great 'nice to have'
