Apollo 13 in 5 Seconds

My only question here is: Why didn't the Apollo 13 movie portray actual events? I mean, it can be a good movie but from what I heard it isn't that real.

It portrayed it extremely accurately... It left some of the details out such as the star confidence check, sun alignment or LM battery explosion but that was because they had a time restraint for the movie.

Yup. That's what you'll be dealing with in KSP.

I heard that it was so real that the astronauts actually asked the studio where they got the dialog, because it was almost word-for-word...

Actually, they left that in. Listen for a reference to a "burst helium disc".

ADDING IN EDIT: From the script:

JACK SWIGERT

- How's it going, Fred.

FRED HAISE

- I'm okay.

[EXPLOSION]

JACK SWIGERT

- What the hell was that?

JIM LOVELL

- Let's hope it was just the (helium) burst disk.

JIM LOVELL

- Houston, can you confirm a burst helium disk?

ANDY (CAPCOM - WHITE)

- We confirm that, Jim.

JIM LOVELL

- Houston, is that gonna affect our entry angle at all?

ANDY (CAPCOM - WHITE)

- Negative. Your entry angle is holding at 6.24, Aquarius.

JIM LOVELL

- Houston, uh... we sure could use the re-entry procedure up

here. When can we expect that?
