Are fan-made videos "citable"?

I made a KSP MV to learn about Premiere(and in honor of KSP community), which is composed of lots of clips of different fan-made videos(names and authors given at the end of the video). Question is can I make it public?

I'd say the best course of action here is to contact the authors and see if they will give you permission. That way there are no hard feelings all around. When I made COD videos I would use music sometimes. This music was always something I found on several music sites that were created and released to the public. Even with that I would contact the author and ask for their permission. With one exception, they always gave it as I wasn't making any money off of my videos. The exception is one author that never answered. I went ahead and used it. But the key is to put credits at the end and in your description with links as to where you got it.

One guy was thrilled I was doing that.

Go to the channel, click the "About" tab and click "send message".

Or, go to your inbox, make a new message and write the username manually, I think that works too.
