Climb the Mountain

Challenge: climb the tallest mountain in the mountain range West of KSC without using a rocket or a plane.

Mods are allowed, within reason. No airships, super-capacity fueltanks or zero-consumption engines.

From climbing the VAB, I'd assume you'd just need the following:

• A minimal rover with 1 lawn chair for the necessary Kerbal
  
• 2x Damned Robitcs hinges
  
• 2x KAS units, each attached to the minimal rover with one of the hinges, equipped with a grappling hook.
  

You fire 1 KAS and retract the winch as far as you can, hoisting the rover that far. You then fire the 2nd KAS. When it's grappled up above, the Kerbal undoes the lower grapple. Repeat until you reach the top.

Climb the tallest mountain west of KSC? That would be the "needle", witch you couldn't "climb" with a rover, witch you mean i suppose. The other mountain to the the southwest is already be beaten.

Seeing as the OP has failed to follow most of the challenge posting guidelines perhaps we could just let this thread die?
