Mun at Last!!

After many trials and tribulations, I finally got here and back. This is just the lander. The command vehicle was orbiting above.

But, not without incident. I had too much side velocity when I landed, so it fell over on its side. I folded the landing legs, used RCS to stand almost upright, and extended the legs again. Next time, I'll do it the right way.

If you mean with “the right way†that you want to do things “the Kerbal way†then I think you already did it the right way.

Good job bud, getting to the mun and back is a huge leap. Now time to get a station up and hone your skills for getting to other planets!

Thanks. I started putting together the orbiting station before the Mun landing, as practice for docking.

It looks like he knows one of two answers to the question "What does my rocket need?"

In this case, moar struts.

Roger that!!!!
