Mods for optics but not over the top tech?

My eyes want something else to look at - but I want to keep it in line with the stock engines, generators, tanks etc. - which mods could I use then?

Kethane looks very stock-ish. Also, check out the engines from KW Rocketry.

Well, actually I wanted to break away from stock-optics but stick to stock-parameters of the parts!

Download stuff that you like looking at and just modify the part config files to match stock stuff. Easy.
