[0.21.1]the K-35 plane pack(with planes that can travel on ground like a rover)

Recommended Posts

There are three plane in this plane pack:

-the K-35-B

-the K-35-B-TE(TE is for taxi enabled)

-the K-35-b-TEHW(TEHW is for taxi enabled, high wheels).

the K-35-B-TE and the K-35-B-TEHW are nearly identical:the only difference is that the rover wheels are higher for the K-35-B-TEWH(it might sound little but you will see that the difference make big change after a few landing).

The three version share some features:

-two engines

-The max altitude is between 13000 and 14000.

-A max speed of about 380 m/s

-A good working SAS(by that I mean that the SAS work good with that plane).

-JATO(jet assisted take-off)(you fire sepatron at the take-off for an faster and shorter take-off)

(the K-35 can go vertical at the first line on the runway, with proper use of JATO(yes, they might be overpowered, but it's kerbal!))

-JAL(jet assisted landing)(you fire sepatron to reduce your speed, useful when you have to land on a short island)

-the ability to land even if one the engine is lost(and even if one engine and one rudder is lost).

Don't believe me?

Here is the proof:

And the succesfull landing:

The spec of the three planes are about the same:

-The max altitude is between 13000 and 14000.

-A max speed of about 380 m/s(this have been tested with the version with wheels, and I have not tried to go as fast as I can,so in fact the max speed will be higher).

-A good working SAS(by that I mean that the SAS work good with that plane).

-JATO(jet assisted take-off)(you fire sepatron at the take-off for an faster and shorter take-off)

-JAL(jet assisted landing)(you fire sepatron to reduce your speed, useful when you have to land on a short island)

That's all the shared feature.

The K-35-B have two special feature:

-emergency chutes. They can save you at any altitude(as long as you'r not on the ground).

-Double emergency chutes:sometime, when you deploy the emergency chutes while being at 500 meters of the ground(or less than 500 meters),the cokpit will separate from the plane.

Some studies has proven that this separation *might* be fatal, this is why the cockpit have chutes on it:if the cockpit separate, active the action group 10 and the pilot will be saved!

The K-35-B-TE and the K-35-TEHW share two specials features:

-Emergency chutes(on the cockpit),I don't know of it work in any situation, but if the cockpit get separated from the plane it will be useful.

-Rover wheels.

Now,you might be asking to yourself"why did that guy put rover wheel on a plane?!"

The answer:taxiing.

When you are landed, retract the landing gear so the plane sit on the rovers wheels;you are now able to travel with these at a max speed of about 21 m/s.

EDIT:I forgot to put the link for the pack(face palm).

So,here are the links:

I have a little change to the K-35-B:the cockpit have chutes on it in case it separate from the plane, active action group 10 to use them!

(this is the only change,if you have downloaded the K-35-B it's probably simpler to put the chutes instead of re-downloading the whole craft).

  • 2 weeks later...

I have made a little update:

-the two planes with rover wheels now have 15 less parts(mostly it was unconnected struts and unwanted struts).

-all the planes now have news actions groups(to cut/start the engine and have different level of lighting(useful when you approach the runway and the landing light are too powerfull).

Also, the link now go to mediafire, because it give me statistic about the download(wich I found interesting).
