I\'ll second the Vulcan bomber. Was driving home from work one day and I here it powering up from nearly half a mile away! So pulled up fast as I could, and took a video. Will post it to YouTube and post the link.

Third for the Vulcan. May have been designed for a style of warfare that never happened (thankfully!) but proved herself more than capable. Hell, could even bring a trio of fighters along for the ride in the shape of three Gnat \'parasites\'!

Added to that ol\' gal, anything which mounted the Rolls Royce Merlin engine; poetry roaring! 8)

If the SR-71 was in the list I would have voted for it instead of the X-15.

Now, question for the Mod Makers. Can something like http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/free-spartan-3d-model/633420 be chopped up fairly easily and used in KSP?

Kind of makes me think of what would happen if the Teladi gave the Kestrel wings and three engines.

um, do you want it to fly? I could chop it up, but it would require alot of assistance in making it fly. The stubby wings are too far back and the front looks very heavy. Could move the centre of gravity to the back of the plane but it would cause some odd flying characteristics.

I think the intention is more for it to fly like a rocket, than a plane.

That said, might want to check on the legal status of that model, even if it\'s only for a mod.

Plus it\'s not X-Plane, it doesn\'t rely on the shape of the model to determine whether or not it\'s aerodynamic.

And I doubt it\'s more front-heavy than back-heavy with the engines it has on the back.
