Munar Mini-Outpost Alpha

Recommended Posts

The Munar Mini-Outpost Alpha is a small, very minimal munar outpost designed to support 3 crew members with some outside contact (E.g. supply shuttle every 5 months or so). I was inspired to build it while viewing this. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=4750.0

It includes:

Two 'My first science kit's.

Two general purpose experiment racks.

Reserve pressurized oxygen tanks.

Water and other liquid/ gas storage tanks.

Six high-output extraterrestrial vacuum certified solar panels.

Four high-output Radioisotope thermoelectric generators (sense I\'m on the dark side of the moon Mun)

Long range S-Band communications disc and antenna.

Duct-tape, LOTS and LOTS of duct tape....

Jury-rigged RCS and landing system.

'Necessary' life support and oxygen systems.

Landing legs.

Frog feet :3

ASAS module for stabilization of landing.

I forgot the cameras but that\'s ok. It comes stocked with three low-def piece-o-crap cameras for the crews\' suits.

The rocket tends to start wobbling at about 28-48 kilometers. I plan to make more and land them on Mun. I must go because I am pressed for time, by for now. Images below.
