Really nooby question

Recommended Posts

Hey there, I thought the other day I would go bomb the other space center for a laugh... like you do... and well I haven't done that since 0.2.0, or maybe even 0.19 but anyway... the question

Unless I am just a bit of an idiot and can no longer see it/find it, has the other space center been moved? Because I always used to use the obvious H in the terrain, but that seems to have gone, and I looked around mountains to see if I could find it, but I couldn't find it :/

Sorry if people have asked this, or if I am just a total noob who can't find it. But it is a rarity that I go there, so I can never remember the baring to take from KSC or how to get there exactly.

Thanks for the help :)

If you mean the one on the island not too far from the main KSC, it's a bit to the right if you take off from the runway. If you are approaching from the KSC, it's on the left side of the island. I cannot help you about the other one(if it exists at all  ) as I haven't seen it yet.

I'm aware of the one island that's actually SE of the KSC (M4ck refers to it) which has a runway, tower and a quonset hut or two. In a hut are some old, used parts; a command capsule and an engine IIRC. I ditched a test plane offshore there once after running out of fuel (obviously I didn't reach the runway) and swam my Kerbal to shore and explored on foot. But you mention a space center. I've heard about another one existing but I've not been to it yet. Is it even on the same continent?

No, all I can remember is you have to fly west, cross the ocean and then fly north-west.... but I can't remember the bearing -_-

But all I can say is, if you can't fly to the runway, then, if the space center is still there, you won't be able to make it to the other space center. It's a good 20-30 minutes mission time, unless you have a plane that can easily fly above 10km and reach high speeds :P

To my knowledge, none of the actual anomalies changed positions with the 0.21 procedural terrain update...which was bad, because a number of them wound up buried (my understanding is that the ancient Kerbal temple is now a good 2-300 meters below ground). I think KSC2 is still there because someone asked about it a week or two ago, but I've yet to go there my own self (it was the target of my Storax Sedan 7 tests...none of which successfully put a rover on Kerbin). I doubt very much that the valley itself is still present.
