Can someone tell the very first story of KSP?

When and why the KSP project was bring on, why it's SQUAD, who decided it, etc.

I'm curious about why it was started.

There was an article about it in a website, in which I forgot the website's name. It talked about Felipe (HarvesteR) and his friend's adventures using firework parts to make rockets when they were children.

At one time, there was also a post on the main site's News section concerning the earliest builds of KSP. It was quite an interesting read and had some interesting pre-release screenshots. Unfortunately, it seems to be gone now...

Czech/Slovak show named "Gamepage" did a "indie window" about 2.5 years back. where they were talking about KSP. I was the second from our two nations to play.
