Mod Crafts being counted as stock

I have found that most mods that contain .craft files put them into the default ships folder. But I have found that this causes the game to classify the modded ships as stock and makes it unable to be deleted. I wanted to know if there was some kind of bug or reason that people don't just include a ships folder in their mod folder. This would allow them to be distinguished from actual stock ships.

The game only knows about 2 types of .craft files.

The first is the /Ships/ folder, which it considers everything in their as stock.

the second is your crafts is /saves/<savename>/Ships/ These are the ones you can delete. However mod makers have no way of knowing what your savename is so they can't put that in the zip.

I always just copy all mod ships into my save despite the mod saying to put it in stock, it works fine that way.
