To each his own, but if I wanted to play "Unmanned Space Program", I'd just launch Take On Mars instead. Give me something for my Kerbals to do! Probes in KSP are for people that are too scared to risk the lives of astronauts.

I only care about Sandbox mode so not much I would think. That is unless it can provide something of interest in SB mode.

Actually, here's hoping there's a large size science bay available as well; something more like a small lab than just a bay...

I'm certainly hoping for (and explicitly asked Squad for) a Science Lab Module. Something the size of a large fuel tank (2.5x6 or more) that can hold several crew and has a variety of robust science options for data collection, analysis, etc.

I'll slap 500 of them on a HUGE probe and throw it into Jool, and then turn them on to get SCIENCE! Maybe it will unlock the whole tech tree?

I will build a ship around the Science Bay. This ship will look much like the crashed flying saucer near Kerbin's north pole only with a diameter wide enough to eclipse all of Kerbin City from 10km altitude (I figure I'll scale part sizes up to keep part count manageable). It will be built via Orbital Construction somewhere WAY out beyond Eeloo, all stuff needed for this having been HyperEdited out there to simulate an alien invasion. Once built, the ship will zoom down to Kerbin using Warp Drive and will land on/near Kerbin City. And then I will use the Science Bay to abduct and anally probe all the citizens of Kerbin City. And then....
