hey guy's i saw that the old elysium was downloaded 62 time's.

so i thought i take a look at it and make improvements.

it can now glide better, for better landings.

its stronger.

it can fly whithout asas and hover in vtol flight whithout asas.

spec;s:

the elysium mk has 5 jet engine's for horizontal flight and two basis jet engine;s for vertical flight.

and two aircore's provide enought air to take you to 35,000 m easy and 5 smal rockets propel you in to space.

toggle's:

1 jet engine's horizontal flight.

2 rockets.

3 vertical jet engine's.

4 airintake's (close for low leavel flight).

5 ladder's

5 wing antenna's.

(for a runway takeof you have to pul up as soon as you start your engine;s)

I like the plane. In vtol mode, it feels solid.

Just too bad i doesn't get into orbit. Made it to a 50km apoapsis.

I'll bet 10 gazillion credits you are not airhogging enough. Just by eyeballing it, I'd say this SSTO could get, at minimum, to >1,700m/s at about 30kms with jets only before engaging the rockets. Am I corrent in assuming you are flaming out much, much sooner? Because if so, you need to work on your flight profile.

What I like:

The overall design. It kind've reminds me of a stealth fighter, and has potential to be so much more. I'm tempted to try arming this with missiles.

The overall ease of flight and control. It's very "newbie-friendly", although I'm not by any means a KSP Newbie. I've been playing this game since 0.16.

The overall speed. With the 5 stacked Turbofan jets propelling it, it feels like this jet easily has the ability to go supersonic (I personally, just got this up to 2km/s on the jet engines alone). It's also very easy to take into orbit, and it airhogs like a champ.

The fact that you made it into a VTOL. I love VTOL-SSTO's.

What I don't like:

Lack of RCS. Easily fixable, one could always throw some on there.

The "wheel on the nose" design. It looks a little silly to me, kind've looks like a platypus.

Lack of rear landing legs. If you ask me, an SSTO craft should be able to land anywhere, on worlds of atmosphere, and worlds in a vacuum. Vertical landing functionality would greatly improve this ship.

Overall score: 8.5/10

I hope you don't mind, I took a few creative liberties with your ship. Due to lack of space, I was not able to add rear landing legs, so vacuum landings are out of the question. I did however add solar panels to keep the battery charged, and I added RCS, maneuvering thrusters, and a docking light for your topside docking port to make docking easier.

I'm still not crazy about how the wings up front clip into the nose though... but I suppose it can't be avoided.

You were right. It worked a lot better when starting the rockets at over 1700m/s.

fistof everyone can do with my plane what they want, and i love to see what you do with it, so post photo's.

second, i like the nose but ordinary i would rotate it a little more, so its in line with the copit glas (but in this case the plane would not stand straight on the runway for vertical take off).

the front wing I'd rather see further back but than the center of lift is not in the middle (you can how ever turn them around en make them not clip). but i like the way it looks.

rcs you dont need because of the new asas, the solar panels i forgot.

the light is a good addition (but i would remove the wings on top and the docking port en try to place the licht in the middle of the docking port). this looks nice do.

p.s. rune, at 30000 m is goes more like 2000m/s lol
