Z3P - Zeppelin Series

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,I did not see any Zeppelins here so here are mine.

v2 : not so ugly but not efficient

Needs every bit of the runway to take off. Cruising speed : 80m/s.

v1 : Ugly but efficient.

Flies ok, use RCS to stabilize after liftoff. Then disable RCS and fly with power below 20%. You will be able to fly slowly but safely.

Important note : No Helium nor Hydrogen is used, but KSP physics being awesome, this "works". Of course you cannot keep your altitude if you don't move forward ...

Dear Diary, it seems that even the faulty physics and aerodynamics in KSP have faltered tonight. How he managed to do this is beyond my capabilities and beyond those of who went before me.

This is too much. I need a scotch.

KSP's physics are fine, it's real life physics that are all wrong, I mean wouldn't the world be a great place if we could pick up a freshly made kebab on our infini-gliders?

Cupcake...

Kerbal magic does it have to speed down the runway to take off if it didnt my mind would be blown even though its still blown

I will have to put an extra set of wings inside to increase the lift. It looks that the wings lift is not dependent of their position (inside/outside the ship) so that may increase it a lot.
