Actually there aren't supposed to be stars in pictures where the Lunar surface is visible, because of the exposure. He was being sarcastic about the conspiracy theorists.

Why are people mentioning Moon hoaxers? They're already immune to evidence, I doubt this will change their mind.

The Apollo which landed at Moon had black&white cameras...

And US would surelly be interested in not spreading that it's actually redish for obvious reasons.

The surface composition already makes it's color tone very obvious.

What science goals does Chang'e 3 have?

Looks like a Mystery Goo^TM canister on the left there.

I would have put it on the rover instead.

The rover doesn't have enough energy to transmit the data.

The lander also has a SC-9001 Science Jr, so it's easier to garther and transmit other than having to swith to the rover for the Goo Canister.

Also, the Goo doesn't give that much science.

The quality of the rover picture does not look incredibly good, but maybe that is just a manoeuvering camera.

I am very glad everything went okay. A great day for China, space flight and probably mankind.

Thanks, that descending control worked so well. Hardly any overshot and notice the hovering stage around 5:15 to run analysis and select landing site. Was that dust at the end of video?

That's really awesome footage, cool how the lander came to a complete standstill before doing the final descent.
