Will .21 break mods??

Okay so we know the update is coming. But when it finally does drop will it break all the mods until the mod devs update them? How do updates effect mods anyway?

it depends, if the update changes any part of the game that the mods use then they might not work as intended

And no, won't break, the mod developers try as sooner to update their stuff when a new version is up.

Most updates do usually break mods in some fashion. Usually, Squad changes some underlying code in development, if a Mod relies on that code in any way, thats where functionality breaks.

Part mods are generally more resistant to breaking in updates, but things like Mechjeb and the like tend to not work right away. You can always wait to update until your favorite mods get brought up to date if you're concerned it would badly effect your play style.

probably not many other than some scripts, but most mods will have to be reworked to work in career mode

if a mod is parts only with no plugin then assume thai it works unless there's a major format change
