Best why to find Launch Windows

Recommended Posts

When starting a game the first thing I launch is a tiny satellite into an orbit that is always above the maximum warp limit around Kerbin (Above 610 km but below ~3000 km so I don't need to zoom out to far to find it) so that from there using Mechjeb I can see when Hoffman transfer orbits are best from one planet to another and time warp to it, then switch to the launch pad and launch my rocket or switch to it already in a low orbit. My question is: is there another way to calculate when the best Hoffman transfer orbits can be made and to time warp to them?

A buddy of mine actually made a semi-replica of the TARDIS that he flew to a point well away from KSC to not cause lag. That became his time-warp spot. He could simply switch to that stationary craft on Kerbin and time-warp to maximum if he needed.

However, OP, to answer your question:

Look at the link in the first post. It will give you phase angles required for effecient transfer From there, I simply eyeball it (46.2 degrees? looks about halfway between 0 and 90, close enough) but there are several mods that will time warp to a specific moment for you if you need.
