Gravity remake!

I saw an article where an expert pointed out the few mistakes in the movie....

the orbits of everything meant that the shuttle was never in danger... things like that....

and M/s Weaver taking her space suit off... looks sexy in underwear and top.... but not real...

Real astronauts wear cooling tubes next their skin, and adult diapers...

and the little jet pack George was wearing wasn't that powerful and they would never have allowed him to use it as a toy because of very limited fuel....

AND.... when they held onto the railings for dear life with those gloves on.... impossible.. they are so thick they wouldn't have had the grip needed...

other than that...... (and not bad considering I haven't seen the film.)

The beauty of Star Trek is that people from the future will undoubtedly look at us studying science with the same disdain that we look at a monkey studying something it has dislodged from it's nasal cavity.

You know, I never liked this line of reasoning. As it stands, we generally don't view our ancestor's acomplishments with disdain. Rather we are astonished by there tenacity, bravery, and creativity in pushing the boundaries of knowledge. I don't see why such a case would be any different. In fact, I suspect The Futureâ„¢ to have more respect for one's accomplishments in this era. I also think this would be the case with any hypothetical alien civilizations that we may encounter or that may encounter us.

As for the film, I haven't seen it yet. As long as it is fun to watch, I'm game.

In Star Trek, they've figured out how to go faster than the speed of light and create artificial gravity, so they probably don't have many problems executing any maneuver they want to.

In Star Trek, vessels enter the orbits around planetary bodies and shut down their engines. When they need to go somewhere, the orders are "take us out of orbit" and then they turn on the warp engines. So even in ST universe, there's power conservation in order.
