Uh Sumghai i have some bugs to report...

this is nothing involving the real chutes incompatibility because i already fixed that....

bugs:

paradock would clip through entire craft when stuff is mounted on top (aeroshell, etc.) (tested with clean install plus required mods)

camera would stop centering on craft (tested with clean install plus required mods)

service module and avionics ring no longer decouple nor even let me detach the umbilical (tested with clean install plus required mods)

This (not during a clean install but i did not have real chutes nor firespitter at the time

sadly though i did not get logs of them but i can recreate the first 3 (haven't tried to with the last one though)

just something to note

The last one seems like the spontaneous disassembly people are reporting. Seems to be an issue with the x64 version, not a mod. Same with the decoupling bug...

Folks, as I've already stated in the development topic, stupid_chris already informed me about the compatibility issue with RealChute 1.2 one month ago, but RC was only released just yesterday, so I hadn't had much time to test things properly.

I would appreciate it if everyone would remember to read things first (and check the GitHub repo for reported issues) before pestering me with issues that have already been acknowledged.

Also something I'm just noticing... How come my version of the avionics ring/service module has no umbilical?

Oh, and also- this is now a thing:

bd3GleG.png

The ring just gives off these puffs of smoke (I'm guessing the decoupling animation). Same happens while in VAB (i.e the animation's playing)...

Yes, it's the x64 decoupler bug...

But still- you can clearly see there's no umbilical...

Am I missing something?

Nope. The umbilical is from the development version on github. The standard download version here was before that was added.

Not really, I don't think...

actually after comparing prices, they are pretty balanced so far....

Edit: also, i just need to make sure, am i the only one whose service module and avionics rings (i am using the version Github) don't decoupler or even let me decouple?

No, mine are broken as well- refer to the last pic I showed.

Ring doesn't do the same nonsense but it doesn't decouple.

hmm could always do as a temporary solution, add in a module that allows one to blow up the service module if it fails to decouple....

Edit: ok i made something for people who need the service module/avionics ring to decouple but doesn't....

its a module manager patch so just put in parts in SDHI...

Works fine for me. Are you sure you read the instructions? The avionics ring and the SDHI service module do not stage. They must be decoupled through an action group.

Looks like I'm the one that didn't read; you specifically mentioned a problem with the 64 bit version and decouplers....

So... it works fine with 0.24 as long as it's the standard 32-bit?

Are ye going to update ye legendary mod of yers?

Until I figure out what's wrong with RealChutes 1.2.1 and SDHI, no.

I hope you can figure out what's going on with the paradocks. They're my favorite parachute option to use. If I was at all any good at coding or mod developing, I'd totally be trying to help out.

I eagerly await whatever resolution you can produce.

Can I haz downloadz plz?

There it is. I tried to get it to behave more or less the way the main chute does with the RC version but I had to sort of guesstimate the air pressure because stock doesn't do semi deploy by altitude. Also it opens too fast at 6.... maybe that's now how that parameter works on stock. And of course; no drogue chute. Bad things happen trying to do two stock chute modules on one part. Many Kerbals died to bring me this information :(

Honestly, I find myself not using this so much. Can't wait for an RC version. I wonder if it's just a config issue....

Today after I installed the RealChute mod, I stocked at the loading screen where shows the game is currently loading “SDHI_ParaDock_1_ClampOTron†in the "Part" folder of SDHI. The problem disappeared after I removed the RealChute mod. Is that caused by conflicting between Realchute and SDHI, or it's because SDHI doesn't compatible with 0.24?
