Nightmares

We all get them every now and then, and it makes us feel better to share them because we start to realize how rediculous they are.

last night I dreamt about a cult called "The Rummikube". The wore black, feathery robes and weilded saw-like weapons that felt like sandpaper, scraping away flesh. They would kidnap people violently, if they survived, they would execute them with a strange device.

The device was like a pool table with a hole to put someone's head through. once secured, a pendulum with a bladed tip would swing and decapatate whoever was in the device. The heads still talked and looked around.

Anyone else have outlandish nightmares?

I don't really remember most of my nightmares, and a few are ones that I rather wouldn't share, but my most memorable one is from a long time ago, where my family and I were all in a really nice park by Lake Ontario, then my parents got in a car and started driving away without us, and I tried to chase after them but fell through a paper bridge into a pit of quicksand, died, and then I woke up. ;.;

I have a nightmare I only had once, but remember it vividly. I had it back when One Missed Call was about to be in theaters.

I was in the driveway to my house with 4 other boys at night. The driveway floodlights were on. The garage door was open and a black ford explorer was parked in front of the garage with a olive ford expedition behind it.

Some boys were in the garage and some were playing basketball with me, situated next to the cars but within the flood lights. A tall figure in a dark, dark green robe and hood approached from the street with a scythe. When it was just beyond the border of the area lit by the floodlight, I saw its face and the other boys ran. Its face was like the thing from One Missed Call except with maroon eyes and pale lime skin. I couldn't run. It grabbed my arm and cut the underside of my forearm (right arm) with the scythe. A green paste oozed out, it was the same color as the thing's skin. At that point I looked at its face and woke up screaming.

I have one, it scares me everytime.

I wake up, i'm in a perfect home with the smell of bacon coming from the kitchen, i go into the kitchen, and see my wife cooking, and she says "Honey, go wake up the kids".

And then i wake up screaming.

I think most people are highly reluctant to share such things online. The older you are, or the more life experience you have, the more personal and scary nightmares get. These are things you don't even see in horror movies. Bizarre and thoroughly fuc*ed up things.

I haven't had nightmares in years, interestingly enough. My dreams are often either very mundane or acid-trip-weird. But I did have a part in a dream wherein I witnessed creatures called "Despairs" hurling themselves out the door of my dorm hallway... because if they couldn't make it to the sea within the next few seconds, they would flounder on the beach and die wallowing in depressive agony.

I had a nightmare about zombies, i was in my old house from Alberta and there was a line of apples trees, zombies attacked me and then i tried to climb the apple tree. I was pulled and eaten alive, until they ate my heart i was alive, i felt every bite, every rip and tear. It was a nightmare beyond my understanding.

Wow... I've had worse, though. Stuff that no normal human would ever think of. Most of the time I'll fall off a cliff or something, but sometimes they get very... strange.

I had a really weird nightmare once.

All the countries decided to not do space exploration and cut the funding to all the agencies, and closed everything space-related, and start to spend money doing dumb stuff.

Then out of anger, I hijack a nuclear submarine and nuke everything in existance, firing off all 66 missiles in the submarine at everything I know.

Weird.

No one cut NASA funding. I don't want to do that.

The night after I saw Gravity I had probably the strangest nightmare ever.

Somehow ksp was real life and I was sitting in a rocket on the launchpad with Jeb and another Kerbal whom I didn't recognize, after a blurry bit later we were at the KSS (Kerbin Space Station) and suddenly KSC said on the radio "there's a spent booster stage coming your way, it should miss you by a few meters" naturally ten minutes later it came flying at us but instead of missing it hit the station and tore half of it off, luckily we were all in the side with the escape pods, and each section of the station was sealed with airtight doors, so we didn't have to worry about getting sucked into space, somehow one of the three escape pods was missing, probably from a piece of debris, I was about to say one of us wasn't gunna make it, when Jeb says in pure English, "you guys go, I'll get back by alternative means if I can't save the station." So me and the other Kerbal got into the escape pods, I barely fit in mine cause even though I was in the Kerbals universe I was still a human, yet they didn't say anything, and my head was about the size of theirs (my head is big in real life) but I was probably still a tenth the size of a human, and after squeezing into the escape pod, luckily we were going to come down on ksc, but just my luck, the escape pod felt the need to have half the important stuff not work, and after barely getting the parachutes deployed after constantly pressing the button repeatedly, I ended up just offshore of ksc with people running towards the shore from the space center, and after almost drowning, I crawled ashore to a mob of Kerbals going :o and the other Kerbal landing near the runway, someone said, "where's Jeb?" I managed to say, "the station..." When, (naturally -.-) something comes screaming through the atmosphere, and after reentry, Jeb lands on his head, bouncing a bit, right next us. Then the strangest part happens, after the gravity re-enactment, what I guessed was the kraken covered the sky and Jeb rolls a giant thing covered in srbs outta the VAB and starts firing t the kraken like no tomorow, and then we end up plummeting into the sun when I wake up with a scared sh*tless look on my face.

It happened so fast though, that confuses me, it seemed like a few minutes total,

Do I have too bad of an adiction?

It was a clear night when a gigantic asteroid became quickly visible in the sky that clearly headed towards earth. Society descended into chaos and panic, while I grabbed my car and tried to outrun the asteroid. I took the nearest highway to put some distance between me and the incoming asteroid as soon as possible. It took me only 30 minutes to reach the Alpes from the Netherlands and planned to hide between the mountains, but as the asteroid impacted, a wall of fire raged trough the valleys and engulfed me.

For years I had night terrors just about every night. They were all along the same lines. It was always night, there was a bright light hovering outside the fictional house I was in and something was in the house after me. It wasn't always the same house but it was always the same light and things after me. They made me not believe in alien abduction. I think alien abduction is nothing more than a form of night terrors. Often my wife would wake me because I was yelling or thrashing about. They went away a few years ago. I suspect the cause was that I lived in a city until my late 20s and then moved to the woods. It is quite a creepy change going from a place where there is activity 24/7 to a place with no other houses in site, is really dark and with things moving around in the woods at night. Now after many years living in the woods I'm used to it and the dreams went away.

Well, usually I dream nice things ;) However, I once dreamed that classic of going to the university, meeting my colleagues and than realizing that I'm naked.

Funny thing is: I didn't care.

And than there was the dream about the world ending. Raining fire and brimstone (no, I'm not making this up). Funny thing in this dream: I was standing on the roof of some kind of factory and was enjoying the view of the world burning. Actually, somehow I MADE it rain fire, by force of will. That dream had me worried about my psyche for some time, but I wouldn't call it a nightmare, since I somehow enjoyed it.

Also: Dreamed of smoking again for some time about 1 month after quitting.

My first lucid dream was a nightmare I changed for the better. As I remember, a few friends and I, dressed in bulletproof vests and guns, were forced onto a train and headed towards a rural area controlled by satan for "diabolical testing". He never got to test anything, because a few minutes after arriving at the satanic station and being told that there would be no more trains leaving, I willed an escape train to appear on an adjacent track. We got on and rode off before satan could activate any defenses.

I Remember a dream from when I was much younger, IT involved giant mosquitos at dusk. I was trapped outside of the house with about 4 mosquitos, One flew towards me and picked me up! Then another, while i'm getting carried away, bit me once. Im pretty sure I died, And I woke up.
