Really stupid steam related question

Please excuse the horrid quality of the following image, I took this with my phone. With .22 seemingly like an hour and change away <IF it is midnight central time that it goes live, but, probably more like pacific time I think> I see this when I start my computer up. THIS means Steam is auto-updating anything it has updates for correct? the last thing I want is for some mistake to happen and have to argue with steam over an update lol.

to the mods of the forum: if i chose the wrong place to stick this, I think I did honestly, feel free to move it to the correct home the pending update has me shaky lol

Don't worry, its steam's random updates for security, just ignore it.

If a gmae updates it will show on the client itself "Downloading ##.##(?)b [Time:time]).

Well, it is Steam updating its security, then I can't say it's bad at all.

No but...

If you haven't turned off auto-update then it's set to auto update.

That update dialog is for updating the steam client itself. It's a program too... that gets updates. Updates for your games happen within the client and don't pop up like that. Updating your games doesn't require steam to restart or for your computer to restart.

okay, so, where on steam do I check this, because now I do not know for certain how its set on my machine :S

In Steam, right click on KSP in your library and go to properties. The Updates tab has what you need.

Go to libary, right click KSP, hit properties, click updates tab, it will see the settings.

the end result of my question is this guys: i AM set for auto-updates, and now just gotta kill time till the update drops on steam
