Allow subassembly attachment points to be designated (perhaps to docking ports)

Recommended Posts

After doing some testing I have concluded that the part you pick up the "subassembly" by will be checked for a free attachment point. When I'm trying to make a rover into an assembly I'm out of luck. I put the command module deep inside of the rover. Such a nice one too. It has a docking port. I even put another port to it so the back of the second port would be a free attachment node. No luck because the only way I could pick up the whole thing is by my "node 0."

At a minimum please allow docking ports to be attachment nodes for subassemblies. Or at least add a "this is the attachment point" part.

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Thankyou!

I found a quick-and-dirty workaround - you can start building your rover from the docking port (Clampotrons can be starting parts). That way, when you pick up your subassembly, the attachment point will be the free node on the port.
