Do cheats affect anything?

I am playing career mode, and I was wondering if cheats affect how much science you get or something, Because I like to use part clipping cheat to better build my rockets.

i dont think so, i cheated my return from Mun because i was a little bit short on fuel since i wasted too much on the landing,

i still got around 600science for the round trip

No, using commands and features from the debug menu will not detract from your score.

You can do a lot of part clipping without having to enable it in the debug menu. I use clipping a lot too, but I never need to turn it on in the debug menu, its about how you place the parts. It's a bit hard to explain, but you can usually coerce most things into clipping into each other without turning clipping on.

well, the fact is, this is still a game how you play according to your own rule. the game doesnt boo you when you cheat as long as you are fine with that
