Science Log

I know some people have talked about a spreadsheet of their science experiments and I plan on making my own. However it would be nice to have everyone chip in with input. Does anyone know if there is a file in KSP that lists what experiments you have done? The game needs to track it somehow right?

What I think we need is the list of all the current biomes and the experiments you can do there. Also how much science each experiment is worth the first time, and assuming you recover it.

For example i learned that KSC and the launchpad are separate biomes for soil samples and such.

What have other people discovered? Hopefully we find something others have missed.

Here is a good start - an addon that shows you what experiments you have done, how much science you have earned, and how much remains that you can earn by repeating the experiment...

It does not show you every experiment possible, only the ones you have done. But I kind of like that - knowing everything I can do to get science points would be a huge spoiler. I am happy to keep trying new things, clicking on every part to see if there are science possibilities, carrying experiments to new places to see what pops up. If you want the full list, I'm sure it will get produced at some point, but in the meantime this addon is really useful to help figure out what you have done, and what remains to be done for the experiments you have tried.

I just made such a spreadsheet to keep tabs on my progress! So far I listed about 80 different Biomes/Places to Visit in the Kerbal system (rows in the spreadsheet), 11 different ways of getting science points (columns in the spreadsheet). Ofcourse not all experiments are possible everywhere. Biomes have different Scientific Value (1x for Kerbin, 4x for Mun, 5x for Minmus, 8x for others) and experiments have different Data Gathered values (from 5 Crew report to 50 for Seismic scan). In total about 60.000 science points could be found i think.

Thanks for the Link, very useful :)

As for the OP:

I did mission logs on Excel for the past versions of KSP (just names of Kerbonauts + Status (like KIA/Returned), date, target, spaceship used and comments)

... haven´t done so in 0.22 (yet).

If I restart career I might probably do mission logs again
