Unlogic Fuel problem

Recommended Posts

Hi,

i have a problem with one rocket i build and i dont understand why.

http://s14.directupload.net/file/d/3414/wgm6w3o6_png.htm

As you can see on the screen, the fuel tank in the middle gets empty even its engine are not on. Its only connected to the outside with the TT-70 radial coupler.

There are no pipes (dont have them yet), only the coupler and struts connecting the middle with the outside part.

Normaly neither struts nor couplers transfer the fuel automatically or? At least i never saw this happen yet.

Does the problem come from the tri-coupler?

Some help for a newbie would be nice. Yes i know, that kind of rocket is not the best, efficiency side , just wanted to see if it would work.

can you also post a screenshot of the whole craft? I find it a bit hard to see how things connect and (more importantly) what engines are on.

Are the tanks on the side (left) already empty at this point? you still seem to be quite close to the ground so I'd assume they aren't.

I suggest you put it on the launch platform, put engines on very low power (smallest you can put), and turn them on. This was it won't get in air, but you follow the fuel flow more easily, since you don't have to control it. See if some of the side setup tanks are not losing fuel. This means those engines are draining from higher up.

Also, chech the "stage" checkbox and see how much fuel it counts. See if you can figue how many fuel tanks it claims you have for that stage.

i build up now a small scale of the rocket, just tanks in middle + one side.

Can reproduce it. It takes the fuel from the middle tanks via the decoupler->girder->tri-coupler

http://s7.directupload.net/file/d/3414/9u3epmw9_png.htm

Same without tricoupler: still taking fuel from middle

Without radial decoupler: still taking fuel from middle

putting the middle engine in extra stage: still taking fuel from middle

only radial decoupler, no girder : no fuel taken from middle

So only if somewhere the "Modular Girder Segment" is build in, the fuel is running .... that shouldnt be the case or?

I've had this problem too, no idea what causes it. The best solution I have is to just redesign your craft around the fact that this happens. Alternatively (just thought of this) disable the fuel flow from tanks you don't want drained until those engines are done
