Did anyone find the formula for the initial possible science stock for each experiment ?

So far I have found that:

Observable = StockBefore * baseValue/scienceCap

Recovered = Stock * baseValue/scienceCap * RecoveryPercentage (rounded to nearesy 0.1)

Stock after = StockBefore - [stock * baseValue/scienceCap * RecoveryPercentage]

RecoveryPercentage being 100% for return to kerbin, xx% for transmission depending on type

But I can't find the calculation of initial science stock.

Could it be relative to distance from KSC ?

That would explain the giant amount gathered when orbiting the Sun
