Aside from the stuff designed for planes I don't use because I play this game because of the rockets, I don't remember I've ever used hydraulic detachment manifold.

The thing is heavy and I see no real use for it.

What's your least used part and why?

I believe mine would be the 1m to .625m flat adapter, just because my stuff is generally much larger than that.

Using the detachment manifold instead of the normal radial decouplers often fixed problems I had with boosters colliding with the main rocket after staging.

The large radial engine is useful for landers because of its low mass and its placement which works good with most lander designs.

I am not using any rocket nose caps anymore since I found out how the game calculates drag.

That's what I've been doing lately. The bigger one is too big for realistic designs.

I still use nosecones, but not the stock ones. They're old and look kinda ugly. Modded ones are the way to go.

I sometimes use those pieces of junk for shuttles, rarely though. I never use that big explosive radial decoupler. It just doesn't fit for anything.

From the 0.22 changelog:

Nose Cones now actually help with improving stability during atmospheric flight.

So I've been using them in 0.22. Before that they were worse than useless, I agree.

I don't think I have ever used the 2.5 blue parachute, only the drogue. I can't see any reason to use that blue one.

Most likely, it would be the super large decoupler "which slices the largest of rockets in twain." I've always managed with the Rockomax Brand decoupler.

The good news is that the parts are super easy to edit. So if you find that you can't use a part because it's inferior to other parts in every way (like that radial-mount engine), you can just tweak it so that it's not. For example, make that radial mount engine weigh less, and suddenly it's not useless.

Thats funny, because that is quickly becoming my second most used VTOL engine for my SVO line of ships.
