that's the lander, though its still supposed to be connected to the command module

Bummer. OTOH, I've learned waayyyy more doing rescue missions. Sadly, every first attempt at landing on other planets/moons outside of Kerbin's SOI has resulted in a rescue mission. So much so that my first landings are usually unmanned now.

The parachut holds really thight at the part he is snapt on. But other parts just rip of when the chute deploys. Attach the parachutes radial at the fueltank below the capsule. A way around is a full burn in the moment the parachut deploys.

But to be honest, test your craft BEFORE its on an other planet. ^^

Test, Test, Test and keep in mind, the Kerbin has other athmospheric parameters then duna. ;)

I'm sorry but the understated way you phrased it ... that's Kerbal comedy gold there, Comrade. :)

yeah I also thought that was wonderfully worded!! Great pic too, just needs a quote (in the style of Mal from FireFly), "did the rest of my Goram ship just fall off!?"
