Less clicking for science

I really love the new science system, but it definitely has some bugs to be worked out. Most of them are fairly minor, but the one that really sticks out for me is just the sheer amount of clicking involved. To get the full value out of an experiment, you need to transfer it anywhere from 50 to 500 times, depending on how much science it's worth.

My suggestion is to make it so that experiments return 100% each time, just like crew reports, so you only need to generate and send them a few times, maybe a dozen at most for the really high-value ones. Of course, to keep things balanced, the amount of data that needs to be sent back for each experiment should be increased hugely as well, so that it takes roughly the same amount of time and electricity to make the transfer as before, just with far less clicking.

Giving 100% science is not balanced, you just need to be able to actually perform the science without as much hassle, so. . .

Add the science to a control group! Press the key, and click through the transmit button. Yes, this still means clicking, but aside from EVA/crew report, all your science parts can be activated at once, and you just keep clicking in the same place to tell them all to transmit.

If you want less clicking, then assign a hotkey to trigger all of your science things at once. If you don't want to return the vessel to Kerbin to recover it, you're gonna have to do some busywork.

There already isn't much reason to recover craft.

I don't think that transmissions should have 100% value. I do, however, want to see the option for 'transmit data' bindable to an action group. That would make life easier in a balanced way.

Don't agree. I like this system, for samples and such that it is logical, and rewarding if you bring them back to kerbin. Eva reports and such should give 100% tough.

For some things I agree you need data loss, but others it doesn't make sense- say, a simple temperature report shouldn't require anything fancy. "It's 32 degrees" isn't exactly a massive transmission, after all.

I am still convinced that a portion of every biomes science pool should only be recoverable by a return mission, being able to get this whole portion in one final go when the transmittable (bigger) portion has been milked dry.
