something more than memories and spreadsheets - a museum

Recommended Posts

Wherever people go, they tend to collect something and bring it home - and especially when it is as far away as the moon or another planet.

Now, this will probably be a feast and a burdon for the graphics designers!

What if the science building at KSC also had a museum?

Whenever a Kerbal returns (!) from a mission or an experiment is brought back (!) a stone, lump of goo, odd thing, bit of a rocket ... is placed in the showroom of the specific celestial body, being somewhat unique in a way matching the pop-up report of the experiment.

Orbital/panoramic pictures documenting the event of every orbital/surface EVA report.

In the middle of every showroom hanging a scaled model of the respective moon or planet, being just a grey ball until the first orbit is established around its real counterpart.

Modelled as an IVA to walk around!

OK, scaling down the madness ...

A big closet with drawers for every celestial object to place the souvenirs and a photo album, kinda like the medals of X-Wing.

Maybe a zoomable 2D map of the system on a tablet, with maps of every visited body and markings of the visited biomes/conducted experiments.

Really just something else than a simple chart!

Please?
