Sometimes recycling is done even if it's not enviromentally viable. It's economically viable, so if you put a sticker "eco friendly recycle yeah" on the whole process, people buy your sh*t and they think they're saints. That often happens with paper, but never happens with aluminium. Guess why.

We still have steam engines and vintage cars. Hell, some folks like to ride around on horses. I'm a greeny, but I see no reason muscle car enthusiasts would have to melt down their beauties and start wearing hemp sandals. I just wouldn't like to see them commuting in one.
