Fuel from external tanks

Recommended Posts

I've built a spike engine powered space plane and I just cannot get fuel from the external tanks. Needless to say, I've tried connecting them to the main fuel tank and the engine yet the fuel in the external ones is just impossible to use. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah it does sound like you may have the wrong fuel type. Just in case though remember the fuel is fed from the first object you click into the second. It's surprisingly easy to get it the wrong way round even when your used to it. Edit: nevermind the air bit, I just remembered your using aeros. If you can upload a craft file somewhere I could take a look for you

I'm using the right fuel and the external tanks are connected to the main fuel tank.

Are they connected with fuel lines point in the right direction as in the example pictures?

This one is asparagus stage in threes. Fuel is drawn from three tanks until gone. They are ejected as fuel draws from the next three until gone. Then, they are ejected as fuel remains in the center tank.

Cannot upload the file, I lost the vehicle (will rebuild it, thanks for your help). The external tank is not stock part but is contains fuel and oxidiser. The ducts are/were connected correctly.
