yeah Ouch, and the Cosmonauts that had to use the emergency escape system had to turn off the voice recorder because they where coursing. As far as I know the Russian suyeze space craft is the only one that ever used the Escape tower out side of testing

So I am guessing my RSS RO install has just been broke by the new RO patch.

This is what I am getting. I have attempted to restore to previous versions and still getting this.

First that is not the right scale.

Second that isn't Earth.

It was Earth a few days ago before I updated RO.

leeham991: Look about 1-2 pages back where SpacedInvader posted that very thing.

Hodo: the number one rule of troubleshooting is post log. My magic wand is even poorer than Sarbian's. Clearly something is breaking while RSS is loading, but unless you actually post the output log (not ksp.log), I have no idea what.

velusip: nope, it's perfectly correct for EVE Overhaul, which you should be using instead of 7-3 anyway, since 7-3 has serious issues with RSS. If you want to use it in 7-3, you'll need to flip it along X and also move it 1/4 sideways. This is because Kerbin's mapping is weird.

pingopete et al: here is a (code only! Unzip over your existing folder, don't nuke your exisitng folder first!) prerelease with a compatibility hack to play nice with EVE and Kethane and anything else.

So this is the error I am getting, I am thinking it is looking for the file in the wrong place.

I have reinstalled EVERYTHING, and RSS 6.2 4 times now. This is on my second install of KSP which is not located in my Steam folder.

[Exception]: IsolatedStorageException: Could not find a part of the path "C:\Windows\system32\GameData\RealSolarSystem\Plugins\PluginData\EarthHeight.png".

It really would be best to provide the entire log file. You could put it in a dropbox or other download service. (if you don't have a dropbox, you should)

It makes it easier for troubleshooters to locate specific bits of information so they don't have to come back with questions

such as, where is it installed and how do you launch it? As in, do you click on the executable itself or via a shortcut? If by shortcut, that could confuse KSP as to the location it's actually running from.

Also, if it's in Program Files or Program Files (x86) then you should move it out of there to a different folder, like D:\Games\KSP or some such.

Edit: On the subject of shortcuts, if you are using one to launch the game, edit your shortcut and make sure the that the start location and target / open in locations match

Is there any way to rescale runways or add longer ones? After messing about with some SSTO attempts, it has become apparent that a 5km runway or so would be all sorts of handy.

Oooo shiny! Thanks, I'll see if I can port across SpacedInvadors planets too :)

I'm only seeing 4kb of file there. It's not complete, doesn't even go far enough to get to the error you mentioned.

That is the problem. There IS no complete log.

This is the only other log I have managed to get. And it is only 5.7kb.

Fixed it. Had to do some rewriting of the pathing for KSP but managed to hammer out something.

Hodo, where the HECK do you have your game installed that it would be looking in your Windows system folder for plugins?!

In a file on my desktop. I have two installs of KSP, and a backup. One install on the desktop, KSP-RO. The other is KSP-nonRO which is in its Steam folder, and the third is KSP stock, backup which is zipped in a backup file I keep of all my games.

Oh I see. I'm not having any problems, but I'll try the overhaul. Thanks.

Prerelease on the last page, quoted on this page by pingopete.

Got it thanks... for some reason I thought that was an EVE hack and not an RSS release.

Also, a side note / bug report. Sometimes when returning to Earth after a mission results in the PQS surface mesh failing to load, resulting in only the scaled space mesh existing until you reach surface height and then boom. This isn't very reproduceable, but it seems to occur more frequently in missions where I've had to revert to an older save a couple of times.
