I present to you... "Spunky" the little SSTO Plane that could.

I have it built as both a clean 3 intake, no-clip build, named "Spunky 3". And a 9 intake, very minimal clipping build, named "Spunky 9". Both are built in the SPH with stock parts and no dev-console or other tricks. Both get to orbit easily. Both handle awesome with or without SAS. Both have a good glide ratio and low stall speed. Spunky 9 can do 2260m/s on jet power alone! I have had Spunky 3 to over 1800m/s. Both have lots of fuel for orbital maneuvering and atmospheric flight.

The design seems so simple I wonder if someone else has already made this and I am just "rediscovering" it?

Those are some good looking planes! I enjoy the smaller builds - I find it take a certain skill to make planes that are both simple an elegant (a certain skill that I lack!).

I like it, I'll probably try out the 3 soon enough. Love that there's nothing "glitched" about it and so compact.
