How Many Sales Has KSP Made?

Recently some other people at my school say "oh hey, you play that game?" When they see me wearing my kerbal shirt.

i ask them" how do you know this game?"

they reply" markiplier, jacksepticeye"

i grin in delight as I now know that KSP is getting a lot of publicity.

Yeah that's fantastic. I really think once this game has a functional multiplayer it's popularity is even going to sky rocket (pun intended?) even more. It seems like it's been sold well over a million times, which in it's own right is incredible. I think once you add a quality multiplayer it will start to be played even more by people and will receive Minecraft type exposure.

Someone actually just posted something about this one the KSP reddit.

Here's the link if you're interested. If that's even close to accurate, that is incredibly impressive. Hopefully should subdue the fears of some people thinking 1.0 will somehow ruin the prospects of KSP. It's already incredibly popular regardless of what happens with 1.0. It also tends to be one of the more played games on Steam, for what that's worth!

What you all are missing is that these are "sniffer" sites... (What it does is bombard steam with requests for user profile information).

So ONLY if a user chooses to share what said user bought, will it be reflected in this data; and I'd be willing to be that there's more than one person who has locked down their profiles to prevent people from looking at what they bought.

The amount KSP has grown and the rate it's growing at since I joined (not long ago) is astonishing, tons of people buy the game every day! A few of my friends bought it yesterday. :3

If about 25 people buy the game per day, then this isn't an exaggeration...

Literally. About 2,000 kilograms worth of people would be buying this if there're about 25 of them.

I've been playing since 0.15. I am a middle school teacher. I remember asking students when I first started playing if they have heard it, the answer was far more than no, because my description of it to people only puzzled them and then I was written off as a kook (I am used to that ;-P ). I get a new group of students every quarter (I teach an elective), and ask them nowadays, and usually about 25% pr more of the students have heard of it, seen it and at least 10% own it. I am their coolest teacher now. It has been great to see this thing grow.

BTW, on that note, I am getting heavily into Kerbal OS, its a whole nother game now.

Yes, other times the system don't work, know I miss a lot of achievements in Skyrim like questlines I have done multiple time but is still not registered.

Still found this site interesting, yes the errors might be far higher than they estimates but still its the most accurate data we have.
