This is one of my favorites.

Another is taking an eva sample on Duna. I cannot remember the entire wording but it had something to do with the red sand staining the suits and considering pink spacesuits for the mission to save on dry cleaning.

The 2001 reference while orbiting Jool made my day. It especially fit because I'd sent a lone probe out there to do a "grand tour" of as many planets as possible and Jool was the last, lonely stop before it ran out of power...

It's the experiment results you get from using the Science Jr. materials bay in Jool orbit. There's another 2001 reference that not a lot of people know about as well, if you do a materials study on the surface of Dres.
