RCS translations not working??

I perfected my Space Plane and am trying to dock it to my station, but my RCS translations won't work. I, K, H, and N all work but my side to side : J and L wont do anything. The thrusters don't even fire!

if you have caps lock on and the thrusters aren't balanced it will try to balance them and cancel them out.

Might help if we had a screenshot of the craft in question so we could see what we're working with.

That said, do you have any RCS thrusters actually pointed opposite the direction you want to thrust in? It might seem like a frivolous question, but it can be easy to forget little things like making sure everything's set up properly.

Make sure you have RCS thrusters positioned so that you will be able to translate on the x,y, and z axis. I recommend binding translation controls to the arrow keys and Right shift and control.

If you only have 2 RCS ports (the four-way OR the linear) you will be missing a thrust axis.

If you just have normal RCS blocks on the wingtips (as is common with space planes assembled in the SPH) you won't actually have a thruster to fire you along that axis. Two solutions:

1. Actually turn the ship so that one of your other ports point the right direction.

2. Use the place anywhere linear RCS thruster on the wing tips in addition to the RCS block.
