I highly doubt i could mount more than 3 in a line, let alone get airborne.....

I was thinking of using a VERY heavy RCS system and maybe radial mount parachutes, Im currently testing this idea with my Arkbird.

Oh and the front half of the cockpit is on its way into deep space with fuel to spare

Well, if that boat plane is maneuverable enough, then you can dedicate the whole RCS at landing.

In there, there are some radial mounted parachutes. That plus a rcs system would work. The problem is when you get it into the water.

I really want the wter to be fixed: regardless of the angle you land a plane in, at a certain speed the pieces just, like you said, disintegrate.

That Missile looks like a nice candidate for a SRB you can use as a missile.
