We all know the challenge to max out the techtree with the minimum amount of launches. This challenge is a bit different:

The goal is:

Max out the techtree in the minimum amount of time!

Mods are allowed, as they don't break the balance (e.g. HyperEdit)

To prove your time, post a picture of your techtree and of your tracking station.

The least time needed, the better you are.

Hard mode:

Don't use transmissions!

Interesting. Have you considered a 'Hard Mode' for the minimum time without using transmissions (Communotron 16, Communotron 88-88 and Comms DTS-M1 parts are banned).

The time since the start of the save can be found in the tracking station; you don't need a mod for that.

I'm pretty sure the winner of this challenge would just be whoever did what I did and milked the Mun dry of its science. Time expenditure is exponential in KSP the further you get out from Kerbin, and the Mun has more than enough science on it to max the tech tree. Ostensibly you could max it out in less time than it takes to do a round trip out to Minmus.

I got all unlocks in just under 14 years using only MechJeb. Moon/Minmus a couple times, (biomes) until nuclear engine, then: Duna, Eve/Gilly, and 2 trips to Jool & Co.

You'd better restrict this to the science mode - because in career you may unlock your techtree in one day via test contracts.
