The oldest part (and also the pain of the computer) is the HDD which is 8 years old, the CPU and the RAM are 3 years old.The newest part is the GPU which is a few months old.

Over the years, building the whole computer costed something close to 1000$.Obviously, you can get the same PC for way cheaper now.

It does its job well.

GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series (couldn't find the VRAM for it, but hte model should give someone more savvy an idea)

HDD: Hitachi HDP725050GLA360 ATA (500GB estimate, but since the OS et. al. takes up space it's something like 458GB?)

OS: Windows Vista SP2

Cooling: An "ACPI Fan" as the Device Manager calls it, although SpeedFan says there are two. It's keeping the two cores at 32 and 39 degrees Celsius. Is that good? No idea.

Age: It's getting on for 7 or 8 years now. It's done quite well, hearing about Zoostorm.

Oh, and accessories too:

Mouse: Genius XScroll (off the bottom of the mouse)

Keyboard: Genius K639 (that's the model number anyway, also off the bottom)

They both came with the computer.

I have said this many times before when talking about PCs. My computer is an underperformer by modern standards.

Other things to note I'm running positive static pressure as the room I'm in is quite dusty, and it helps prevent dust build up inside the case. I clean it out every few months.

Probably upgrading my GPU to a GTX 780 this year, and possibly upgrading my CPU to something that will run closer to 4.0gHz, though GPU will be priority.

Not a fan of the "Modern" UI on a desktop system. I can see it being useful on a phone or tablet, but not a dual-screen desktop. Fortunately you can turn off most of the stuff and get a more Win7 experience.

I also bought a Razer Taipan and Razer Blackwidow. Planning on buying a big monitor later. It's OK, and runs games reasonably well, but it's impractical and heavy and overpriced. When it dies or goes significantly out of date. I'm definitely going to build a desktop.

I've had it for about a year and it was $1500. SSD ran me $120, and mouse and keyboard were $170 collectively- got a nice deal.
