Biomes and probes on the ground

This thread might be on a trajectory too close to the forum rules to survive, however I must attempt.

Since the 0.22 release we have gotten SCIENCE!!!, and biomes for two celestial bodies. Starting this new space program the decision was to only ever transmit one result from one type of experiment in one biome, or retrieve once. The bug I'm aware off, just stacking multiple modules of the same type is not acceptable in my space program.

Now I'm in a situation where the Mun has half a dozen probes and landers, a couple in orbit around the Sun and today I finally caved in and sent two probes to Minus since at least they'll not be landing.

So... My question is, are the new biomes going to be added in major point releases (actually minor, cause they're the second integer) or minor (actually micro)?

Since they don't (shouldn't? monkey cat smoke?) touch any code...

Yes, i'm not sure, but Ithink minmus, Duna, ike and Eve are getting them in the next update

That's entirely up to the devs

If you read any of the update news (like the one HarvestR posted on the .23 update news), you'd see it'll be in .23, which would constitute a major update, as such.

There will be no release between .22 and .23, unless something crazy comes up.

Devs have not mentioned which places will be getting Biomes in the next update, just that there will be some that get added in addition to the other science and research updates.

At a guess I'd say they'll at least add Minmus and Duna. I can't see them not addressing those two.

It also makes me wonder if Minmus will be getting asthetic updates or not. Though It'd probably be pretty easy to keep it as is and add at least 3 or 4 distinct Biomes for it. You've got one or two poles, you've got high lands and you've got ice seas. Done.

I do hope that maybe Minmus will get a cosmetic update too.
