Orbital refueling?

Is it possible to use a space station to transfer fuel from one docked craft to another? I need to do a rescue mission as one of my missions to the mun somehow got stuck orbiting the sun.... with 6 Kerbals aboard. (ﾉಥ益ಥ）ﾉ ââ€Â»Ã¢â€Âââ€Â»

It's possible to transfer fuel between any docked vessels, you don't need a space station inbetween. And if you do have a station inbetween (which isn't different in any way except the icon you've chosen for it) you can transfer fuel just the same.

Alt click on the 2 tanks you want to transfer fuel from, and than just click the aproriate button

I meant craftwise there's no difference between a launcher, spacecraft, airplane or space station. Two docked crafts can transfer fuel between eachother, period. You can put rover wheels and a docking port on a fueltank and drive it around, dock it to an airplane and you can refuel the plane.

I've got a station just for refueling my orbital construction at 100km, the International Gas Station.

I found it really hard to do orbital rendezvous with big ships with it. So, here's what I've gathered. The game renders the surface textures up to 160km, slowing things down a lot. So best to put your station above that. It's easier to keep the ship that needs to be refueled at 2.5km from the station, so it doesn't get rendered / physics applied, as it also slows things down. Instead park it in the same orbit 3km away, and use a ferry to transfer fuel between.

In the career mode, with the lack of real stationparts, I designed a small ship that I can lauch to refuel crafts, rather than a station that the craft docks to.

Easier to dock a small tanker to a big rocket than a big rocket to a big station
