In other words, what can I do to enjoy playing KSP AGAIN!!

Build bases on other planets, try different mods. Kethane and the extra planets mod for example.

build surface bases on other worlds, and design ships that are lighter, but need to make pit-stops.

I had a neat idea for a re-useable ascent stage to put on duna or something that had rover wheels, and parachutes (can you re-pack parachutes in vanilla? I have realchutes, and EVA'd kerbals can re-pack chutes), so you could launch a vehicle that had stopped, then return the ascent stage to be refueled and used again. don't ask how you'd connect the 2 portions together... build a crane!

The planet mod is not avaliable at the moment, the guy who made it did not give a licenses with it so... I'm personally waiting on that right now.

There is almost no limit on what you can do with a sandbox game, the limit is actually your own imagination. And, - on top of that - this game has an extensive modding community that will give you the tools to make whatever you imagine true. Here are some suggestions:

1. If you thought the stock solar system was a challenge, how about sth much bigger?

2. If you thought that the mainsail was the end-all be-all of propulsion, how about a warp drive?

3. If you landed on all the celestial bodies, how about more?

Using planes only

-Launch to orbit from a sea platform in Eve.

-Make a shuttle and carry (historical accurateish) probes with it. Like a Kalileo Jool diver or whatever.

-Recreate the Constellation Program.

-Develop a Saturn V look-alike and fly a mission with it.

-Use an adaptaded version of the Saturn V for a free-return Eve Flyby.

-Recreate the Corona satellites. You can use this mod to take pictures and then return the canisters. You can even try recovering them with a plane. (Be sure to upload pictures!).

-Make an aircraft carrier and take it for an expedition to the north pole.

-Build another carrier and sink the first one in an epic naval battle (fighters included).

-Make your own

and fight Hanland.

-Make a Drag racer and do some illegal racing on the streets of Kerbin city).

-Build a station with your friends using KMP.

-Challenge others or try your hand at different Challenges.

if thats not why you play KSP, come back a few updates down the road and play again, no point in forcing yourself to play. lots of games out there, you will come back eventually.

Use HyperEdit to move Laythe into an orbit so close to Kerbin that their atmospheres overlap, then try to fly a jet from 1 to the other
