No, I hit the sun. My ship spun out of control, and broke apart. I instantly started going at that speed. I did have the FTL mod, but only used fuel tank and the smaller liquid fuel engine.

Not sure if the bug is with the mod or something with hitting the center of the sun ( I was trying to make my orbital v 0 and sit in the center of the sun, don\'t ask me why)

You can\'t hit the sun, but infact you can go negative in altitude.
