Female Kerbonaut

I am playing with my niece and I would greatly appreciate at least one female Kerbonaut.

Some suggested names:

Valentina Kerbishkova (Tribute to Valentina Tereshkova)

Svetlana Savitskerba (Tribute to Svetlana Savitskaya)

Sally Rocket (Tribute to Sally Ride)

I myself would be a fan of the funny lipstick on a pig look, but that's my sense of humor.

You mean like this, and yes it has been spoken of a lot of tomes but it seems as there is no interest by the devs in female kerbonauts

Buzz Kerbin, just to add to this, Squad know that players want female Kerbals but this is not expected to occur at this time, remember that KSP is still being actively developed, please be patient.
